When you think of Australia in the summer, what comes to your mind? As an immigrant I've always imagined Australia as the ultimate summer spot: incredible white beaches, clear vast ocean, lots of surfers, and that sea breeze.... I must say I feel extremely lucky and forever grateful to be living in such a wonderful paradise. I also knew about their delicious barbecues and sweet tender seafood, but was wondering, how do they decide to leave their spot at the beach just because they have to eat lunch? And then I came to live in this paradise and realised that you never leave while you can be swimming/sunbathing/surfing. You bring your picnic with you! So, of course, I couldn't just make it a regular picnic. Do not bring me just some ham and cheese sandwich and a soft drink and call that a picnic. No, let's make it Australian, with a touch of Argentinian. And that is how Chimichurri La Madrina Mayo was born. Here are a few examples to use this deliciousness in the most Aussie way: by the beach.
The first quick way to bring Chimichurri La Madrina Mayo to the beach is inside a chicken sandwich. Herby, salty, and smooth, Chimichurri La Madrina Mayo will bring the flavours up to the next level. Super easy, grab some bread slices, cover them with Chimichurri La Madrina Mayo, add cold chicken (from the rotisserie or leftovers from dinner), some cheese and avocado, lettuce, tomato and cucumbers are welcome as well, and voila, the ultimate beach fast food is ready to eat after a nice surf.
If you prefer to make it a vegetarian picnic, a coleslaw is the perfect salad for the creaminess and citrus of Chimichurri La Madrina Mayo. You can use a rainbow coleslaw with shredded beetroot, carrot, and cucumber (see picture), or a classic coleslaw made with green and red cabbage and celery. Now you are ready for a swim and a lay at the beach.
At the end of the day, when you are all done with your activities and are ready to enjoy the magnificent sunset at the beach, you can enjoy an exquisite seafood platter with some Chimichurri La Madrina Mayo. Get some lobster, tiger prawns, squid, oyster and salmon, and enhance that exceptional dish with the creamy, tangy flavour of Chimichurri La Madrina Mayo. You are now creating a beautiful memory for the rest of your life, so don't forget to bring the champagne. That is a must.
